Waves at China Walls

From the far Northwest a few post ago to the far Southeast now. We heard about a place where some good surfers go during the summer to catch some choice waves so we had to check it out. I was not as entertained by the few surfers there as I was the waves crashing into the rocky shore.

Here is an overhead view of the coast that I walked along. As you can tell there are some very nice houses around.

At the spot were the surfers are, there is a tall wall that the waves roll along making them even bigger for surfing.

But I preferred the areas where the rocks would cause the water to erupt into the air.

Here is one shot of a surfer that I took.

Now back to more cool waves.

I thought the clouds reflecting in this serine little pool were calming...

Then this happened.

At this point I had walked for a while and I thought I should go back before my ride left without me.

I borrowed Topher's nice camera for these shots.

I'm glad I wasn't using my camera for this shot... I don't think I'm allowed to use his camera again. At least not after he reads this post.
