Parasailing

I've been in the ocean, on top of the ocean, and now it was time to go above the ocean. All I needed was a boat...

...and a parachute.

...Well I guess I also needed a couple guys who knew how to make it all work too.

Plus it doesn't hurt to have someone go first to test everything.

Now it's time to go up!

There's the boat.

It's getting smaller...

...and smaller...

...and smaller.

And this is what the boat looks like from 1200 feet away.

So many feet above the sea.

I have a lot of pictures of Diamond Head but this is a new view point.

Good thing we started coming back down.

Headed back in to Fisherman's Wharf.

They weren't in Sydney!?

As promised, here is the second half of my photos of LOST filming locations.

Here is the last picture I have to post of our LOSTies visit.

The next nine pictures I took are from a self guided walking tour of LOST locations in downtown Honolulu. Some of these locations where quite clever, while others had to have some computer changes after filming. This restaurant became a place of prayer in Iraq.

This one is a little less creative as it's a bank that they used for a bank.

Not a lot to see in this picture but I can assure you, it was not taken in London

These are the steps that go up to Sun's father's office.

His 'office' is really just a small lobby art gallery.

Just across the way from that Office in Korea is Jack sitting in Los Angeles.

Apparently it was time for a remodel at this coffee shop in 'England'. They had already moved the show case to the street corner.

China town makes a great setting for Korea.

Their camera lens do some crazy things to these pictures. This is right off the dock at the Aloha Tower.

And people don't think we get snow in Hawaii.

We even get blizzards! If you count it when it comes by truck and is then spread out with shoves. On a side note my old neighbor used to work at this bar.

I guess there isn't really a Sydney Opera House in Honolulu.

Here is a map showing part of downtown Honolulu. I marked the locations of the thirteen pictures above to show how many and how close these locations were. It's amusing how easily they were made to look like different countries. Also, this is not all the locations used downtown, just the ones I took pictures of.

I went to mass one Sunday at St Patrick's Catholic Church and had to take a picture afterward.

This popular restaurant is very close to where I live. Oddly, I have not eaten there yet.

I wasn't taking LOST pictures while I was here so it's not framed to match but you can tell it's the same place. It also shows how someone's back yard fence can be cut out and a place can be made to look like a desolate coast line.

The next few pictures were taken along the beginning of the same hiking trail. The Manoa Falls trail has been featured in many of my post and here it is again. The center back tree in my picture here is the one Charlie was hung from.

A little farther down the trail is the location they used for Crazy Clair's camp. Although the vegetation has grown quite a bit.

Just on the other side of the trail is the location of the medical hatch Sun was taken to.

The screen shot for this is not the best but you can see the resemblance in the trees. For many of the scenes walking through the jungle, they used trails and put potted plants in the way to mask that it was an actual path they were walking on.

I hope you have enjoyed my picture tour of LOST filming locations. You will now be returned to my regularly scheduled blog posts. Only at a more frequent rate as I am over six months behind.
