North Side of Kaena Point

We drove up to the North shore to check out a few places. The first place we went was Waimea Valley.

These are Victoria lily pads. However their other name seems more fitting, bottle cap lily.

This is an actual site that was lived in around 2000 years ago. Obviously these structures are not that old but some of the rock walls are.

These are some tall roots.

I know I already have pictures of this on my blog but I figured just one would be okay.

Found a peacock and her peachicks. The peachicks are on the right in the shadow.

After a little drive west we get to the north side of Kaena Point.

Notice the sign for the 'Designated Road'.

I don't think Topher's little Civic coupe has the ground clearance for this road.

Ha. While typing this I just saw a commercial for shells and cheese. I think these shells would take a long time to cook.

I think lava rocks and light sand make for great pictures.

Hanging out at The Salty Crab.

Wendy's has nothing on our all natural sea salt. Topher is giving it a try.
