Circle Island tour with Michael and Luke

Our friend Luke got here a few days after Michael. With him here it was time to kick into full tourist mode. The best way to fully realize you are on an island (thousands of miles from any substantial land) is to see the whole thing in one day; So here we go.

We got up before the sun to watch it rise... It was cloudy again. We are going to look for a new spot to watch the sunrise.

As promised many posts ago, when Topher found 'Dog the bounty hunter's house, I said I would post it. Here it is. The gate is closed but I have a good feeling the next time I come here it will be open.

To have more room for this drive, we just brought travel size Michael.

These guys are serious about their snorkeling.

The above pictures and this one are from the coast around the Spitting Cave of Portlock.

This picture however is about 3 miles down the road at the Halona Blow Hole look out.

Alright covered 20 miles this time and are now at The Valley of the Temples. Would you believe it's not even 9:00 am yet.

Luke ringing the gong for good fortune.

Bamboo can grow really big.

Just a picture I took of Michael, taking a picture of Topher, taking a picture of a goose. The goose really dropped the ball not taking a picture of something. Oh and Luke is in the picture too.

The goose had a great vantage point for taking a picture like this, but no. Lazy goose.

Another seven miles down the road we made it to snack time at the Macadamia Nut farm. They have ono macadamia nuts and coffee. (Note to make the coffee good mix 1 part sugar, 1.5 part milk, and 2 parts coffee. I guess if you like coffee you can skip that part.)
Bellow are Michael and Luke breaking open some macadamia nuts to eat.

Next we travel about 81 feet to a nice little froggy pond. Bonus points if you can count all the toads in the pictures.*

Making up some distance after that last 81 feet, we drive 25 miles to go snorkeling. But more on this in the next post.

Just 3 miles away from snorkeling we stop to see some turtles on land.

This is my buddy Oakley. We always hang out when I come here.

More bonus points!* Who know's what this is?

Now 12 miles from the turtles, our visitors have to try our all natural sea salt.

Silly coral. It must have forgot it is supposed to grow in the water.

Look at that!

Well we ran out of road. Literally, it just stops. And the sun set so it's time to head home.

* We all know this blog is like Who's Line is it Anyway. Where everything is made up and the points don't matter, just like the word international in International House of Pancakes.
