[Did I read that right, Is this a Christmas blog post. I thought Dave was months behind on his blog.]
Limited Time Only Holiday Special Posts!
To celebrate the Christmas season on time I'm breaking my chronological order posting. Until Christmas expect to celebrate the Christmas season on my blog. Feel free to drink your hot peppermint coco while you scroll through.
To start off the holidays I have a picture of our homemade thanksgiving dinner. Complete with all the Thanksgiving fixings. As you can tell we ate while watching It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown and A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving.
Were are all the cars? This is the main strip through Waikiki, there are bumper to bumper cars here all the time.
The street was clear because of the Waikiki Christmas Parade. It was the day after Thanksgiving. They really like Christmas here. Thanksgiving not so much, but Christmas is a big deal.
The parade started out with the Boy Scouts carrying all the state flags; And look which flag posed for a good picture just for me. (No, not the Mississippi Flag.)
Marching bands from all across the state and a couple from other states came to participate.
This is the King's Guard.
I like the lighted instruments.
Nice classic corvette!
This stocking and Santa head are made entirely of balloons.
First parade I've been to with a fire juggler.
Workers from the Polynesian Cultural Center were the most energetic and entertaining.
A marching band in aloha shirts.
Christmas tuba wreaths.
The Grinch rode in his motorcycle pulled sled.
Here come the big trucks.
And only seconds after the parade was over the street was full again.
More Christmas posts to come!!
I'm kind of offended for that woman in the blue shirt! You took so many pictures of her, but she didn't get a single mention!!!
ReplyDeleteTry to be a little more considerate next time...
Looks like a good Thanksgiving.
