Christmas Lights Around Oahu

On a number of occasions I went Christmas light hunting. Here is what I was able to shoot.

There are a few apartment buildings around that light their stairways this way for Christmas. This one is close  to my apartment.

Santa uses chopsticks at the McCully Shopping Center.

Sorry I got confused by the shinny colors in this building and thought it might be decorations. But since this picture is posted you'll notice my Christmas list on the right side of the picture. Any would be nice but My first pick would be a Lotus.

The only Happy Birthday Jesus sign I saw.

Here is a little Christmas tree sales lot.

I took the next few pictures while cruising down some Hawaii Kai Streets.

This family was playing Foosball in the drive way while I shined my headlights on them, took a picture, and then drove by slowly.

A few days later I went to investigate some hotel decorations.

The Outrigger did not have very impressive decorations. They did have a nice tree but my picture was blurry so all you get to see is their gingerbread houses. Be sure to pay attention so you can judge which hotel has the best gingerbread house. These houses were made by employees of the hotel.

This house really stood out.

Next we move on down the coast to Hale Koa. They really know how to bring the holiday cheer.

I think these trees got jealous of a wreath and thought we can be a wreath too. They are half way there!

This banyan tree has the spirit of Christmas.

Here is the Hale Koa's gingerbread house entry.

Para-sailing Frosty.

Continuing our trip, we move to the Hilton Village.

Here is the final gingerbread house up for judging from The Hilton.

Hi Santa!

The Hilton Village had plenty of Christmas trees.

Here is the only crib I found at any hotel. You can't really tell from the picture but the stable is about four feet tall.

The next neighborhood on the list is Ahuimanu.

Fishing Santa.

Low light pictures while driving do not yield great shots. But here is Honolulu Hale.
