There were a few things we had to do this day; among the most important were eat Dole Whip, Shave Ice, and have Mai Tais. It was setup to be a rough day. :-)
For the road trip we made them write, "We will not fall asleep mid conversation." 100 times.
Time to eat some pineapple.
Dole Whip (pineapple flavored ice-cream)
Looking up at a rainbow eucalyptus.
The Dole flower garden.
They say you are what you eat.
The chocolate covered pineapple got a little messy in the car.
By this time we had so much pineapple we needed to wash it down with something. So we got shave ice in Haleiwa.
Danielle was not a fan of the Hawaiian beans in the shave ice.
Our next stop was Waimea Falls. That's where we meet this guy.
This looks like a pretty flower. Here's what the sign by it said:
Nerium Oleander (Dwarf Form)
All parts of this colorful plant are poisonous & contain lethal cardiac stimulants useful in pharmaceutical compounds, but deadly when consumed direct from plant. Yet, this is an excellent landscape plant for arid locations.
It does sounds like an excellent landscape plant.
This is the same type of hut the Polynesian tribes lived in
Here are CJ and Danielle just being happy and getting along.
Here is me just carrying my towel.
I found some "Sleeping grass", it looks like a small fern but when you touch it's leaves close up.
Silly rubbish can getting in the way of this photo.
See, much better. I did put it back after the photo.
I don't know what was going on here.
We went to the Dixie Grill for dinner...
...and ordered some southern barbecue...
...and Mai Tais.
Good times where had by all.
We ended the night with some fun and games.
