University of Hawaii at Manoa

I took a walk through University of Hawaii at Manoa. It again reaffirmed the fact that everything is outside here. (I also want to  mention on the outside doors here, they don't even have weather stirping)

Take for instance the building in this first photo. It looks like a normally building. You probably go through the front door into a hallway and see room doors along the walls as you walk. What really happens is you realizes there is no front door. Then after you get through the front entrance you see this...

That's right you just walked through the entrance and you're still outside. Don't get me wrong, I think it's awesome but it's taking a little to get used to.

This is the only hallway I've been in since I arrived here. It was in the chemistry building and most of the doors had warnings on them about hazardous chemicals or strong magnets. I guess because of that they decided they should have a little more protecting them.

This building also has no hallways, but it did have doors.

This building was cool because the center was opened but, on the second floor it had a bridge that went across the open middle. I couldn't get a good picture of it though.

You can't really see it but behind this dedicated bike parking is a spot for dedicated moped parking just like the bikes.

Bonus Section

We found an old surfboard!

And after cleaning the old wax off, it makes a great decorative piece.
