Turtle Beach

Today we went out to Turtle Beach for a surf lesson. We meet Dude (I don't remember his name) on the beach. He gave us a few steps to follow and then we were paddling out. Basically Dude would wait in the water with us and when a good wave was coming he would say paddle hard. Which was really all we needed. I stood up and surfed the first wave in. Sadly I did not bring the camera with me so we have no shots of us surfing, yet. But below is what else we did that day.

We see a lot of mopeds on the roads here. Not as many driving down the sidewalk.

Can you find the Pineapples?

There are a lot of Bugs here.

There is plenty of room in a civic coupe for two people and a surf board.

As long as the passenger does not have a head.

Topher doing his usual on the beach.

While surfing earlier in this water, sea turtles would just swim right by us. They were everywhere; They would come within a few feet of us. So I decided to take Topher's surfboard out and try to get some pictures of them.

Just hanging out in the water; Not seeing any turtles. I finally found one but could not get a picture of it. Wow, this is not sounding like a very good picture day. But I promise turtle pictures by the end.

I did find this coconut shell just floating around.

There is not a lot going on in a panoramic of the ocean.

I tried to make another panorama, but had some problems. However it kind of looks like a little island that is just floating on top of the waves. I thought it was fun so I posted it.

First nice sand castle I've seen.

Topher starting to branch out of his usual.

Look who I found.

This turtle guy was just hanging around by the shore munching on some grindage. I went up and said hi and she/he slapped me five, well okay it only has one but same thing.

    1. I have an Olympus Stylus 770sw. It's a few years old now. It's a typical point and shot digital that is also waterproof for 30 feet and shock resistant. It has held up pretty well but the seals on the battery and USB doors are starting to leak and I can't find replacements. I going to keep using it but I think these salt water waves will be the end of it. :-( Then I can get a new camera. :-)
