Manoa Falls Hike

I took a hike to Manoa Falls. I tried to bring you guys along by recording parts of the hike but it did not turn out so well. But the pictures worked and I always take lots of them.

Had a Hawaiian specialty, Spam Wasabi, before my hike. It was tasty.

It was in the afternoon when I started the trail but it's short so I know I would have plenty of time.

This looks like my kind of trail head.

There are some weird looking things in these Hawaiian jungles.

I had problems focusing on this plant but it really looks like it would just reach up and grab you.

There are these long vine like things that just hang down from the trees. If you have ever played Half-Life they look kind of like those things at eat you in the game.

This is the best natural jungle gym ever! Plus it's really in/is a Jungle! I spent a lot of time climbing in it and was at least 25 feet above the ground.

It's really thick in places.

Lots of roots, these are at least on the ground.

These trees made a nice little arch for the trail.

I found the water fall!

This thing just looks weird; And weird is one of my favorite picture subjects.

It's rather Jurassic Park looking around here. (Probably since the movie was filmed on the island.)

These are some big leaves. I believe that is a 32 oz water bottle.

Macaw Flowers (Heliconia bihai for you scientific type) are seen all over here.

Who can see why I took this picture?

These chickens flew the coop and are hang out in this tree.

I'm pretty sure this is a Papaya Tree.

That makes for a nice back yard view.

Here is a typical style grade school here.
